The St. Patrick's Day Sprint Triathlon/5k is a non-profit dual event program that creates a fun triathlon for all ages in Ashland, OH to compete in. The first event is a triathlon/5k, in which athletes of all skill levels and ages can come and compete. You don't think you can swim, bike and run? No problem! The triathlon is divided into individual and team categories. You can walk/run the 5k portion or grab two friends and each do whichever part you want in the race!

After the race there will be awards, live music provided by Richard Jordan and the second event: the celebration of St. Baldrick's Day. St.Baldrick's focuses on raising money for childhood cancer research. The foundation works by allowing volunteers to sign up online to be a "shavee". The "shavee" sets a monetary amount to collect in the form of donations, and if the amount is reached, he/she shaves his/her head on St. Patrick's Day. Spectators are invited to participate in the events being held throughout the day! We ask for a minimum of a $1 donation to the AU Panama Trip from each non-participant who plans to enjoy the live music.

AGE GROUPS: 19 & under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-

                                 (awards go to top 3 males and
                                  females in each age group)

TEAM DIVISIONS: Male, Female, Coed (N/A for the 5k)
                                   (awards to top 3 teams in each division
                                       regardless of age)

COST: 5k: $25 per individual (any age)
           
             Tri$35 per individual (any age), $90 per team
             *there will be a cap on the number of teams:
                                  first come, first serve
             **after March 1, 2012, costs go up to $55 per individual
                                  and $150 per team
             ***any registration after March 5, 2012 does not
                                  guarantee a shirt on race-day
